Summary
“Demon blood doesn't taste as good, but I’ll make do,” he slurs, like a complaint. Dante lets it happen for now, growing more powerful from the tension in the air. He adores being pinned to the ground, their groins rubbing as the metal of the sword's serrated edge rubs against the crook of his neck. “—It's too gooey, thick like molasses. And the smell is putrid as the sewers... The flavor, too, like spoiled soup."
Harsh, huh? “Nooooooo, I'm like a dream. Try some!"

Summary
"Good hunter," V drawls, initial irritation bleeding off into amusement as he trails his fingers along the polished wood, nails tapping out a delicate rhythm. "You do realize you've brought yourself to me on the night of the full moon?"
A sore lack of manners, this one.
Not that it was a problem. V was used to dealing with unruly humans that were too curious for their own good.

Summary
Dante went through the mail, he stopped as he caught a glimpse of Vergil’s name in a yellow envelope. He swallowed as he read Fortuna University in lovely font. He knew Vergil had wanted to go there because their father did. It’s one of the best universities for business.
It still hurt that Vergil would be moving soon, leaving Dante behind.

Summary
He remembered the day Vergil showed up at their family home’s doorstep, surprising their mother and Dante after three years of little to no contact. At twenty-seven with two degrees under his belt, Vergil looked just as self-satisfied as he always had, and every bit an accomplished academic. He announced he would be taking a job at Dante’s academy, where he had previously studied himself, all while avoiding his younger brother’s eyes.
Which was fine— if Vergil wanted to bury whatever metaphorical hatchet they shared, Dante could play along. It would be fun to see just how long Vergil could hold out before something inside him snapped.
