“We’re getting married, thanks to you,” Wriothesley says coldly. His hand comes up, lifting Lyney’s face, and his fingers are icy against the flush of the night on his skin. “You now have your entire life to try to make me shut up.”
Lyney finds himself entrapped in marriage with the duke whose estate he infiltrated and barely managed to escape from two years ago.

Wriothesley cocks his head to the side. “Why, Mr. Lyney, do you miss me already? I haven’t even left yet.”
Lyney grabs a hairbrush off his vanity and chucks it at Wriothesley’s head, which Wriothesley catches easily. “You’re insufferable,” he huffs, but he doesn’t deny Wriothesley’s claim.
