Will sighs, resigned. He drops his hands. “Okay. Honestly?” He hesitates, then shrugs. “He was a bad kisser. And I just… couldn’t get excited around him. At all.”
The reaction is immediate and merciless. Dustin makes a dramatic gagging noise. El gasps like she’s been handed gossip gold. Lucas high-fives Max, shaking her hand in his.
Mike doesn’t say anything. He just watches Will, watches the way he shrugs it off, the way he laughs a little too loud, the way his ears go red.
Or, Will's new boyfriend is a bad kisser. Mike thinks it's a crime that no one has kissed Will properly. He's on a goal to change that, Carlton be damned.

“Why? Why won’t you ever tell me what’s wrong with you?” Carlton’s voice is filled with frustration, and it sounds like nails on a chalkboard to Will.
What is wrong with him. It’s such a loaded question. Why does Will wake up screaming sometimes? Why can’t Will handle the cold? Why are there days when Carlton’s hands on him feel like being kept under water with no way up?
And why can’t Will tell Carlton the truth? How could Will possibly explain it without sounding insane? What is the human translation for being taken and kept in another dimension, violated, and possessed, only to then be violated yet again—
This part of him is something Will is never going to be able to share with anyone else. That nobody would understand.
Why won’t you tell me what’s wrong with you.
“Because you wouldn’t get it.” Will somehow manages to say it without gagging.
And then, Carlton goes in for the kill.
“Oh, but Mike does?”

Byers' mind was rushing, his eyes a little wide, a little scared of what was about to happen. He felt Carlton's hand on the small of his back, encouraging him to lean forward.
"It's okay", Mike assured in a very sweet tone.
The smaller man ended up nodding without even noticing. Wheeler's long finger slid through his jaw to the back of his hair, caressing it as he was pulled in. Their lips touched at first, just softly pressing. But, fuck, that was more then enough to get Will to purr and pull Mike in by the hair, deepening the kiss.

carlton thinks mike is really pretty and asks will if he agrees that a threesome would be a good idea. the only thing is that carlton ends up tapping out a little early.

Will is in for more than he bargained for when he agreed, but he’d be lying if he said he wasn’t very hap-satisfied with how things ended.
