Summary

They take on the roles of the Painted Lady, the Blind Bandit, the Blue Spirit--and Sokka, reluctant traveler between the Spirit World and the material world--in order to nudge the Fire Nation towards peace, battle Ozai's armies, and protect the group of six newborn waterbenders that includes the next Avatar. Meanwhile, Azula is abandoned by her father to fulfill the thankless task of ruling the Fire Nation while he pursues further glory.
Five years later, a seer's vision sets in motion events that, one way or another, will bring the war to an end.

The Painted Lady froze, turning her head to stare at him through the crack in her veil.“I am just as much a spirit as you are,” she said, gazing out over the river.
The Blue Spirit always manages to help her when she needs him. How, she hasn’t a clue. But boy, is she thankful.

Summary

With no leads and nowhere else to go, she resolves to wait for them to find her. But in their cramped apartment, the days turn into weeks, and the longer they stay, the harder it becomes to remember where the act ends and something real begins.

Summary
It was a brilliant plan, all things considered.
On paper and in the eyes of the public, they were a charming if oddly mismatched couple who somehow found love despite their differences. A fairy tale come to life, sighed the more romantic members of Ba Sing Se society.
So it was almost a shame that Katara's courtship with Prince Zuko was ultimately nothing more than an act - otherwise, they might have been a perfect match, if not the perfect partners in crime.

Just sex bounces around in her brain. It is a bad idea, a prime example of a bad idea, but there is an undeniably appealing feeling in the thought of sleeping with Zuko again. Of seeing if yesterday was just a fluke. Of finding out if he is as good with his mouth as his hands.
“There’ll be a lot of stipulations,” Katara says, before she can finish thinking it through, “like, a lot. Get out a pen.”
Zuko makes a face, then shakes his head, just a little. “I’ll make a Word document.”
“Google. Google is better. Google doesn’t try to autocorrect my last name from Imaq to Iraq,” Katara says, and puts her headphones over her ears.

Katara eyes him like he’s an animal, a wild thing she’s trying to ease into domestication. ‘The opposite, actually.’ She uncrosses her legs, leans forward in her chair and those tight blue eyes— full and ambivalent and certain all at once— get his full attention. ‘What if I did it? What if we did?’
‘What if we did what?’
Her cheeks are ruddy, her braid messy as though she’s spent too long anxiously fiddling with it. ‘Date. Court. Whatever you call it.’
Zuko blinks, repeats her words back to himself once twice, trying to make sense of them. No good; his brain is scrambled. ‘What…? What are you talking about?’
