Jax wasn’t planning on going to the sleepover.
It wasn’t that he hated them. He actually liked sleepovers, back before everything shifted. Before the smiles started feeling rehearsed and before everything soft in him turned sharp.
Now, things were different. His tendencies were only part of it.
Snoring, sleep talking, that kind of thing.
And the bed wetting.
It was rare, but it came back every month like some cruel reminder that even monsters had embarrassments.

haven’t been able to focus much after angel left. Especially not on drink making. I’ve made more harder daddies than I can count with nobody but Cher to drink them. It feels empty. “Don’t you go calling my drinks a mixture. Just cause’ I'm out of it today.” I huffed.
She sighed as she sat her glass down, leaning over the bar slightly. “Look, Husk. I know you're out of it- Well, have been since Angie left. But have you thought of y’know..Talking about it?” I finally looked up from my glass cleaning, “Talking about it?”
“I mean, Charlie has lots of different therapies available. You like those, yeah?”
“No.”
“What do you mean no?”
“I don’t do feelings anymore.”
