Summary
Twelve years after the war, Hermione Granger becomes Archivist of a memory vault: a sentient structure beneath the Department of Mysteries, where history and artifacts are cataloged under ancient wards.
Then the Archive starts answering back. At first, the anomalies are easy to dismiss: false dates, strange smells, shifting corridors, records appearing where no one filed them. Then people begin forgetting. Worse, they remember things that were never theirs.
When the Minister forces a consultant into her investigation, Hermione gets the last person she wants. Draco Malfoy is too observant and one of the few experts in sentient architecture. Together, they’re forced to dig into a history rewriting itself around them—and into a connection neither remembers, though the Archive does.
"It would offer back what she was already teaching it to hold: a voice without a face, a date that would not stay in order, a door where no door had been, and her name returned from stone in the wrong tone. It would watch what she reached for first. What she denied. What made her come closer even when her body had already learned better.
She had dreamed of love.
It would show her what memory could love back."

Summary
The quickest way to burn a narrative is to set it on fire yourself.
After a very public betrayal, Hermione Granger finds herself recast as cold, frigid, and conveniently unlovable.
She refuses the part.
Draco Malfoy is many things, but subtle is not one of them. When he chooses to stand beside her, the whispers turn into spectacle, and spectacle becomes strategy.
They’ll own the narrative.
They’ll play the game.
They will not blink. It’s strictly mutual.
Strictly controlled.

Summary
It did not matter if Draco was a Veela, if he wanted me or if he was just trying to atone for past sins.
I was infatuated with him.
And I was terrified that I always would be.
