With the hand that wasn’t already touching Miles, Phoenix reached up and slid the glasses off his face, gingerly setting them down on the end table. He dared to trail his fingertips the tiniest bit further up his thigh, voice gently curious.

For all the grief Miles had given him over his questionable study habits, he still, inexplicably, had absolute faith in that man.
Because if Miles believed in anything, it was that Phoenix Wright could pull off the impossible when it mattered most.
That said, watching him unravel in real time did little to inspire calm.Phoenix is about to find out whether he passed the bar exam for the second time. Naturally, feelings are involved.

Miles feigned a look of mild disapproval as he stepped through the door. “What did I tell you?” he chided, as if he wasn’t bursting with happiness at the sight of him.
“Probably something bitchy,” Phoenix replied, his face lighting up with a smile of pure sunshine.
Two weeks apart shouldn’t have been a big deal. Phoenix has survived far worse. But ever since Miles finally let him in, being apart feels unbearable.
Good thing reunion sex is one hell of a coping mechanism.

Across the Atlantic Ocean, Phoenix Wright wakes up with the worst hangover of his life. He thinks he called Edgeworth last night, but he doesn’t remember why or what he said. Hopefully it wasn’t anything weird.

“Hey, Edgeworth,” slurred Phoenix Wright, drawing out the y sound in hey, like a flirtatious young woman. “How ya doin’, buddy? Thought—thought I’d give you a call. But it looks like I missed ya. Just my luck.” He sighed, and Miles could practically smell the alcohol on his breath through the speaker.

Miles sighed, curling his other hand around the curve of Phoenix’s bare shoulder, just above his collarbone. “Yes. And I like it, I like the idea of going house hunting with you. And furniture shopping. I want to pick out expensive plates for our kitchen and put them on our registry list.”
Phoenix quirked an eyebrow. “With an air-fryer we don’t need?”
Miles hummed, “And crystalline champagne glasses. Those are a must.”
