A series of (terribly) short vignettes of Tirzad and Samail. This takes place presumably months to a year after the events of the Golden Slumber, where everyone lives. Including Jebrael's resident stalker, apparently, who suddenly took an interest in the Vahumana researcher after losing to him in his own game. Sexual tension ensues.

Din spent his entire life in transactions. Bounties captured, credits paid. Protection offered, loyalty earned. Nothing is free in the galaxy he knows. And maybe that’s why this feels right, even when part of him whispers that it’s wrong.
