Kageyama’s gaze burns into the side of Kei’s face.
He abruptly realizes he failed to not smile. While looking at Hinata. For who knows how long.
He thumbs it off his face and manages a scowl. “What?”
Kageyama squints like he wants to say something. Processing, the way he does when he’s starting to finally grasp the pre-calc Kei has been lecturing for the last forty minutes.
“Was that… banter?” he asks. “Do you and Hinata banter?”
Golden Week Training Camp is a bit different, the second time around.

“Na, Daichi” Suga started, “do you like girls?”
“What?”Daichi had never considered something might be missing from his life. Why would he? He was a seventeen-year-old boy, he was the fierce captain of the now Nationals classified Karasuno Volleyball Club, his grades were great, he had lots and good friends, and he was in excellent physical condition. He could even reach his toes without bending his knees!
So when Suga’s question made him realise there was indeed something missing from his life and he started to look for whatever it was, he found a well and a crisis much deeper than he could deal with. He missed many, many things about himself.
Suga being the part he missed the most.
