Summary
Desire stands still, too still, at the edge of her twin's realm. Looking down at the orb that mimics Earth's world.
They stood still, slick with gold, perfect as ever. But trembling at the edges.
"I feel your echoes in my realm." Despair pauses. "It's the first time. And it is... terrifying."
Silence flooded the room.
"Desire doesn't last here. Only what's left of it." Despair takes a step closer to Desire's bubble, careful and cautious. "Whatever you're feeling, it wasn't meant to survive long enough to reach me."
"It's not grief." Desire chuckles, trying to keep their composure, a wall raising. Avoidance.
"Not yet." Despair responds.
