This is the third and last part of a series, but all can be read as standalones, since a plot is basically non-existent.
Derek leisurely glides a palm through Reid's mussed hair, Spencer sheepishly leaning into it to deepen that odd gratification he receives from it, that alluring combination of embarrassment and undying curiosity in his eyes turning into a dangerous cocktail for Morgan.
He finally recognises the unmistakable smell wafting from it, transporting him directly into an open field – lilac and honey, sunshine dancing on his face, its warmth hugging him like a blanket, the fragrance of it clinging to Reid's curls like smoke, vividly setting the scene of spring.
