"He wanted to talk to Parker about this– he truly did. He swore to himself that he would. Next time he saw Parker, he would bring it up. Except Parker was never around anymore unless they had a job. They stopped doing videos for their Luxury Dark channel because Parker seemed to be spending as little time as possible with his so-called 'best friend'."
Chester is finding himself uncomfortable with the new living situation he and Parker have found themselves in. Right as he decides he'll talk to his friend, they get an email about a new job, and the conversation is delayed. Possibly forever, as this monster seems to be stronger than the others they've faced before.
Chester thinks he's made peace with losing life and limb while on this job as long as he's with Parker, but when he faces the cold reality of what that might mean, he finds he's less willing to stick around the danger than he thought.

Chester stood in the darkness, sweat clinging to his skin.
His chest rose and fell with uneven breaths, each one catching painfully in the back of his throat. For a moment neither of them spoke.
The silence stretched between them. Then Chester laughed softly. He didn’t know what else to do.
“Tell you what,” he said at last, voice rough around the edges. “We could’ve had a good life together.”
Parker’s shoulders tensed. He stood with his back turned to Chester, hands shoved deep into his pockets as though holding himself together required the effort. For a long moment he said nothing. Then he let out a quiet breath.
“I wish I knew how to quit you.”
The words landed between them like a confession. Parker never turned around. And somehow that hurt worse.

However, Genji's estranged brother, Hanzo, is coming to visit for the first time since he kicked Genji out of their home ten years ago. Genji, having never expected the high and mighty Hanzo to descend from his palatial estate to get his hands and shoes dirty on a working ranch, drops his brother squarely into his husband's lap.
That turns out to suit both Cole and Hanzo just fine.

He always believed Cole to be a charmer, something like those nearly 200-year-old Disney movie princes’, who would make any woman fall for him with just a smile. Of course, this didn’t work on him, he was cautious at first. When he joined Blackwatch, he kept his distance from the rest of the group, but he was always matched up with the Cowboy whenever a mission that required them to split up came about. “Genji.” It affirms. He pictures approval. “Prognosis is positive, Genji.” It speaks in a way that tells him it’s meant to be comforting. Welcoming, even, the buzzing tone anchoring itself at the nape of his neck with the first wire. The prying tools are working. He can hear them, the whirrs and clicks and beeps and smooth movements over the vacant space of his body. “You will be rebuilt.”
