Summary
In this world of Heroes, it's so easy to reach out a hand and help another up. In this world of Villains, it's so easy to tear another down.
It all starts, when Shouta Aizawa finds a young boy dying on the streets. As the police rush to find the boy's attacker, Shouta suddenly finds himself in a position to care for a child who is scared, traumatized and in desperate need of a parental figure. It’s only temporary he tells himself. At least, that’s the plan.
As each new turn in the investigation continues to add complication after complication, Shouta finds himself increasingly concerned for his young charge – and unwilling to give up a responsibility he wasn’t sure he wanted in the first place.

Summary
On paper, the Hero Commission's plan to investigate Midoriya Izuku under the guise of a training course for combating mental quirks is solid; foolproof, even. If Midoriya turns out to be innocent, they can pass everything off as part of the training exercise, assuming he remembered any of it. Otherwise, they could beg forgiveness after the traitor was securely imprisoned in Tartarus.
The paper plan failed to take into account the feral ghosts living in Midoriya Izuku's head, or his equally feral living friends.
Time to bring on the chaos.

By the time Shouto is eight, he doesn’t believe in heroes anymore. If heroes were real, if heroes were good, they would have helped him by now. They would have saved Touya. They would have saved his mom.
Shouto isn't sure who's important to him anymore. At least Touya's memories were all that there would ever be. Touya was dead, he hadn't abandoned Shouto. Not like everyone else.
