“I don't buy that, Rock.” Rocky wilted with the sentiment. God, he was pushy- and if Eridians could evolve to have puppy dog eyes, Grace was convinced Rocky would be at the forefront of that development. “Not for a second. Y’know, you’ve been-”

“Understand what?” Grace stood, thighs still aching, and tossed the remote onto the bed, flurry of feelings- primarily dread- causing him to clench his fingers together. “What is there to understand?”
“The nature of Grace Rocky… relationship.” Rocky's words were plucked carefully from where they were stored within him, and a few stray puzzle pieces seemed to snap into place in Ryland Grace’s mind all at once.
