Atsumu had tried to reason with Kiyoomi. He'd tried to point out that he was trying to do all of them a favor, because if Bo and Shou don’t pay attention or Atsumu falls asleep during Kiyoomi's movie pick he'll get all pissy, and then the whole house is gonna be miserable.
Shockingly, the tactic hadn’t worked. Kiyoomi had just turned a page in his book, pushed his reading glasses up his nose, and said: “Wakatoshi-kun highly recommended it, and you don’t give Hinata and Bokuto enough credit.” Then he’d looked up, pinning Atsumu with a withering stare from his spot curled up on the sofa. “And I haven’t gotten distracted or fallen asleep during any of your movie night choices.”
Atsumu had pretended not to hear the ‘even when I wish I had’ muttered under the other man’s breath.
He didn’t need to. He could recognize the challenge for what it was.
He had stomped out of the living room to go take a shower. By the time he came back to the living room to join the others in front of the television, pausing to scoop up the heavy quilt folded at the foot of his bed and to turn down the thermostat, he had a plan.

Summary
Atsumu has a long history of pissing people off, but this time he’s gone too far. Someone wants him dead, and although he doesn’t know who or why, it becomes clear very quickly that both he and Osamu are in danger. After a couple of close calls, Kita - the Kumicho of Inarizaki - decides it’s not safe for the two of them to stay in Hyogo; not until he finds out who placed the hit and eliminates them.
Atsumu reluctantly finds himself in Tokyo, taken in by a yakuza group that’s nothing like Inarizaki. The Black Jackals are a different breed, more lethal than he’s used to, and Sakusa Kiyoomi is the worst of them all. Of course that’s who Atsumu gets stuck with, and he and Sakusa are in constant competition for who hates each other more.
Tokyo should be a safe haven but between Atsumu’s bloody new assignments, the lingering threat on his life, and all the days trapped with Sakusa, Atsumu isn’t sure he’ll make it out of Tokyo alive.

Saito nods and taps a finger to her chin. “Ah, so, we’ve got Bokuto Koutarou, devoted to a life with an unnamed individual, Hinata Shoyo, who loves everyone but has his heart set on someone from his past, Sakusa Kiyoomi, who currently cares only for volleyball, and Miya Atsumu, adored by all but loved by none. How interesting! You definitely are a wild bunch of very different people when it comes to love!”
Atsumu’s breath hitches in his throat, and her comment kind of pisses him off, but he tries his best to smile and laugh it off. She says that like he’s unlovable, and ‘Sakusa Kiyoomi, who currently cares only for volleyball’? That seems pretty rude too, he thinks. It’s not like Sakusa’s heartless, even if he is all reserved and stuff.
He doesn’t really listen to much else of what she has to say after that, deciding that he doesn’t really like her that much, and balls his hands into fists in his pockets.
