Summary
He spent six years in captivity, experiencing the horrors of humankind.
Katsuki just wanted to go north to find his family again, to let them know he's still alive. Kirishima finds him and promises to get him there after the winter thaws. That's it.
It was supposed to be temporary. But somewhere along the way, the water changes. A place where mers are safe. Where younglings are raised in the open. Where humans don't hunt. A place where no one is kept unless they choose to stay.
Katsuki doesn't trust it, doesn't trust the humans. He definitely doesn't trust the way his body reacts: to the water, to the others...to Kirishima. Because if it is just instinct, he can leave.

Prince Katsuki Bakugou was agitated.
He bared his teeth at everyone that tried to talk to him the entire day, snapping and snarling, before finally giving in and rising from the dining table in the evening, a scowl on his face as he excused himself without even acknowledging anyone. “Kirishima.” He half growled, before stalking from the grand dining hall without another word, as his personal guard stood to attention for a moment and followed him hurriedly.
Katsuki practically marched through flagstone corridors to his chambers as he ground his teeth. “Are you prepped?” He asked gruffly, already unbuckling the belt that held his tunic in place, dropping it as they reached his room.
“Yes, your majesty.” Kirishima’s tone was already breathy as he nodded earnestly. “You’re due to heat tomorrow, I made sure I was ready.” He assured, following Katsuki into his bed chambers, hanging back to wait as a good aide should.

In a world where vampires use humans as a renewable source of food, peak freshness and palatability is key. Humans are only ‘harvested’ every couple of months, and blood is graded on how nutritious it is, but also on how good it tastes.
Katsuki’s blood is of the highest quality, and he uses the status it gives him to keep his parents out of Vampire clutches now that they’re older.
He’s given to a new leech, one that seems nice enough, but that kind smile belongs nowhere on the creature’s beautiful, evil face, and it pisses him off no end.
He taunts and goads this ‘Kirishima’ when he gets bled, until teeth pierce his skin – a forbidden act neither of them know how to take back.

Summary
Bakugou’s face scrunched up as he clearly waged some kind of internal battle before he deflated slightly, a long, annoyed breath forced from him. He plonked himself directly on the edge of Eijirou’s bed, huffing again.
Eijirou watched, waiting by the door of his own room as his bestie pulled several vile expressions, and then scrubbed a hand over one side of his face.
“It’s bullshit.”
“I know. I know it is, man,” Eijirou finally moved closer, bending to pick up scraps of paper and errant rubbish from across his floor, dropping each piece quickly into the bin before setting it back to rights.
“…I was gonna pick that up, you know,” Bakugou growled, the deep vibration in the back of his throat something he couldn’t have achieved more than a few days ago.
He’d begun his presentation.
