No one, not even Giorno Giovanna, was perfect.
The blond was only human and couldn't foresee and repress everything. So, as his eyes instantly shot up to land on the gunman slumped on the couch behind them, Fugo knew that he wasn't supposed to see that. He wasn't supposed to witness the icy glare the Don cast to Mista, nor the way the latter's lips rose in a smirk and let alone the speed with which Giorno's cheeks had turned bright pink.
Yeah, there was definitely something satisfying in knowing that he had outwitted for once his ever-so-perfect boss...
But it still didn't stop the ache from stinging his chest.No, Fugo wasn't supposed to have seen all of that, and he wished he hadn't because now, everything was clear: what he always, in the utmost secrecy, dreaded to happen had indeed become reality.
(Or the bitter narrative of Pannacotta Fugo, forced to witness the blossoming love of a certain couple, despite secretly yearning to be in Giorno's place.)
