Years after her victory against Gary Oak in Kanto, a stubborn, mouthy teenager by the name of Leaf Green decides to shake things up by traveling to the Unova region to conquer its Elite Four. She and her trusty Charizard seem to get along well with pretty much everyone. Well, except for Team Plasma. And this blond douchebag with a camera named Trip. And this weirdo named N who can apparently talk to Pokemon. And this guy in a huge castle robe named Ghetsis. Will Leaf conquer the Unova region? Will she and her new friends (and Trip) get Team Plasma off their backs once and for all? Will Trip ever stop being a snot?
