He perches carefully on the very edge of Stede’s bed, turns to arch his eyebrows at Stede next to him, and any other time that would be a resounding yes. Stede has recently had occasion to discover that he very much likes kissing Ed.

    Right now—well, perhaps right now isn’t really the time.

    “That would be lovely,” he tells Ed, and he means it, “if you weren’t bleeding to death at the moment.”

    Or, Ed's not used to being taken care of. Stede wants to change that.
