Summary
Heady. Masculine. The scent of him is unlike anything you've ever smelled before. Equal parts comfort and safety (palo santo, sun-scorched sand; tobacco and dark, aged whiskey; rotting paper—lignin, furfural—and a damp, old basement in a house you don't remember but could never forget) and fear (stagnant water, kelp: like rotting wood pulled from from the deep sea; fire, smoke; sulphur; something rotten—cadaverine, putrescine—and sweat). The sharp dichotomy is dizzying. Paralyzing.
He pulls you in closer. his breath carries the smell of the ocean: the seafloor. His mouth splits into a grin. "Don't worry, sweetheart; nothin' is gonna hurt you—"
is what he says, but what you hear is: except me.

Summary
Because other boys wouldn’t have just gotten aroused and then beaten themselves off to a finish with a fantasy of their younger sister. Other boys wouldn’t hope to be the first and last to lie with their sister in bed. Other boys wouldn’t want to kneel to lick between their sister’s legs and bring her to an orgasm in the kitchen, the living room, the closet, the garden, any place that could fit two, him and her.
No, other boys wouldn’t want these things at all.
It is just him. Caleb.
restless nights prove a trial in patience.

Summary
Caleb steps back so you can peel yourself off the counter and admire your reflection. Your earlobes are almost as red as the little apples, but Caleb was telling the truth: they are nice and even, right in the centre of the lobe like you wanted. You turn your head this way and that, admiring the gleam of silver, and despite your watery eyes you smile.
“I've been wondering whether these little ears are just for decoration,” Caleb teases from behind you, “when you pretend not to hear me when I say it's time to do your chores. But now they're actually decorated.”
