Summary
For Johnny, this winter meant soft air, billowing lights, and, unfortunately for him, up-and-coming photographers. Which wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for the fact that they all seemed to suck. All he had to do was make it to the end of the season without setting someone on fire.
For Peter, this winter meant biting cold, blinding lights, and, fortunately for him, an internship with none other than Mr. Fantastic himself. All he had to do was keep his identity a secret from Spider-Man's best friend, Johnny Storm, without outing himself.
Despite getting off on the wrong foot, as Johnny fires more and more photographers and Peter's bills get more and more expensive, the two agree - Peter will photograph Johnny for the rest of winter, and Peter will get handsomely paid for it.
Now the two see each other for hours on end, multiple days a week, with Johnny determined to get Peter to like him and Peter determined to keep as much distance between himself and Johnny as possible. What could go wrong?
Or: Johnny needs a new photographer, Peter needs the money. Shenanigans ensue.

Even now, she was tempted to chalk the hand up to a panic-induced hallucination—but, no, now that she was out of the tree roots, heartbeat achy in her chest from gloom but still steady and calm, the marks on her wrists were clear. The hand, the same thing that had been pinning the mummy down, had grabbed her, hauled her up, up, up as she and Link fell, away from Link, away from her home, leaving her grasping at air as he fell below her and disappeared into a flash of green and gold. His gory fingers had brushed hers, so close but so far, almost but not enough, and then he was gone, and there had been nothing but the hand.She was alone. Completely and utterly, alone, high in the sky, with no way down.
Or, Link is missing, taken from Zelda after disappearing below Hyrule while face to face with a strange mummy, and Zelda will do anything to get him back. She just has to stop Hyrule from imploding while she does it.

Summary
Tommy sighs, staring up at alien ceilings, breathing in alien air, probably and unfortunately digesting alien blood. He guesses he’s never breaking that two year Foster house streak. She probably thinks he ran away. He thinks what pisses him off the most. These aliens made him look like he couldn’t handle a measly fucking argument about curfew and ran away. He’s so pissed he could die.
Tommy stares at the unfamiliar planet, millions of miles away behind a glass pane, and still closer to him than home is.
Die.
Huh. With a quick heartbeat, and an impending sense of doom, he thinks: He just might.
Or, Aliens are assholes, and turns out, some of them are even human traffickers. Tommy learns soon enough that he values freedom more than trying to figure out what the fuck had to go wrong in his life to lead to him getting lost in outer-space.
Even more, Tommy learns right thereafter, that he loves Earth a little more than he originally thought.
