There were plenty of blood ties among their people, and none could ever cause such a deep wound upon the world as their never complete, never healing, never ceasing half bond. Fëanáro could cross the sea, wishing to force the wretched thing all the way to Ulmo’s abysmal stomach – and find himself not parted from Nolofinwë by a step.
Proving himself worthy always meant challenging Fëanáro, and Nolofinwë wasn’t exceptionally good at it. Until he was.
