Newt stares at the half-finished essay in front of him and groans. At the rate he’s going, it won’t be finished until at least three in the morning. He takes a long sip from his third Redbull of the night. Maybe that’s his problem. Or, maybe it’s the classical music he’s practically blasting in his headphones. He doesn’t care for it, but he read somewhere it helps with focus, and he’s willing to try anything at this point.
It’s time for a break, he decides, pulling off the headphones and standing up out of his chair. He goes to reach for the door handle, but something makes him pause. A moan.
