Summary
Thalia Grace has a few problems in her life, and they all relate back to her job. First, she works retail, and it sucks. Second, people just love to steal on the days when she wants to relax. Third, there is that old lady who also insists that her twenty-year-old coupon is not expired. But, her biggest, ongoing problem is that her crush and manager, Reyna Ramirez-Arellano, is right there, but Thalia can't work up the courage to ask her out.
Percy Jackson has some issues of his own. He is getting ready to start his first day as an assistant manager at the same store as his cousin. As long as he can make a good impression on his first day, he'll be fine. He just has to forget the store that he left to avoid having to see the woman that he loves every day, especially since she is engaged, and it's not to him.
A story about life in retail and the adventures inside and outside the store.

At that moment, her eyes fall upon a slip of paper tucked at the very back of her locker, underneath the ugly magnet Piper had brought back for her from the Bahamas. She frowns, reaches in, and prises it free, unfolding it.
In blocky handwriting, it says: Hey! I’m part of the Argo cast and I’m borrowing your locker for this season, hope that’s okay! You have a lot of textbooks, you’re probably pretty smart. I think they were moved to the reception for the time being. What in God’s name would make you want to take advanced Math?

Summary
He patters down the hall to the door, which is wedged open by a ballet flat. He pushes at it and it opens to a fire escape, staring out across the expanse of a muggy New York afternoon, the clouds swollen and angry-looking, and another stray ballet flat, and then—
A girl, curled up against the edge of it like a surly kitten, bare feet swinging in the breeze, cigarette between her fingers.
She’s tall and willowy, with curly blonde hair and a mouthful of smoke. Everything about her feels poised and delicate, but almost too much so, like if you poke her she’ll crumple to pieces. Her legs are long but fragile, and her face is pretty but gaunt.
She’s beautiful, but in the way that makes you ache, because a happy person doesn’t look like that.
The girl blows a cloud of smoke out into the sky. “Are you just gonna stand there staring at me?” she asks, not looking at him. Percy starts, a little guiltily. He hadn’t known she realised he was there. “Because it’s making me feel weird.”
or, Percy and Annabeth are models, there are lots of milkshakes, and Aphrodite is kind of awesome.

When Jason glances over at Percy, however, he doesn’t look disheartened. In fact, it’s unfortunately more of the opposite — his eyes are narrowed in challenge, like he thinks he’ll be able to dissolve Annabeth’s holy matrimony with the power of his handsome looks. Not that Jason doubts it – quite the opposite, in fact. Percy is good-looking, and funny, and charming. Even Jason might be tempted to end a marriage if he were on the receiving end of that, and he’s not even attracted to men. But he likes Percy, and he likes Annabeth, and the last thing he wants as a good friend is for Percy to become a home wrecker.
“Percy, no,” he warns.
But Percy is already nodding his head. “Let’s make a bet,” he says.
Grover, who’s just finished wiping tears out of his eyes, bursts out laughing all over again. “For you to get with Annabeth? Percy!” He’s got a laugh a lot like a goat-bleat. It’s really quite charming.
Percy folds his arms in challenge. “I bet that I can get with Annabeth by Thanksgiving.”
