Summary
Janus--the Roman god of choices, crossroads, and doors--is the last god that Percy expected to ruin his family dinner. One year after the giant war, the deceitful god tricks Percy, sending him through a door and into the Hall of Prophecies. Unfortunately, the wizards do not like it when imposters trespass in the Department of Mysteries, so Percy is forced to make a terrible decision: go to prison for his unintentional crime, or become the Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts under the protection of Albus Dumbledore. While Percy doesn't trust the scheming headmaster, he doesn't want to go to prison, and he needs to figure out if this strange world is part of the Greek Pantheon. Or an AU, dystopian retelling of Heroes of Olympus with a lot of plot twists: the canon divergence is not what you think it is, and the original plot gets entirely upended.
