“Mike ,” she hisses , “shut up. Can’t you see Will’s about to tell us about the date he had with his boyfriend ? He is probably crying because they had a fight. Tell us, Will. It will be okay , I promise.”
“What ?” Mike yells. at the same time as Will gasps “You knew ?”
Mike turns his head so fast there’s an audible noise and looks at him , astonished , shocked - all the ways that he can think of to describe the way that he’s absolutely , utterly and completely flabbergasted.
Or : 5 times Will tries to go on a date and Mike ruins it by being there and 1 time Will realises the date is being ruined by his not being there.
Ft : a meddlesome Max & Lucas , a very jealous Mike and a Will who just wants to get over his straight best friend.
Too bad he can’t.

Mike Wheeler is completely head over heels for Wonder Will, the boy with eclectic music taste on WSQK, The Squawk radio. During his shifts at the Family Video store with Max, Mike tunes in to hear the boy's sweet voice, desperate to know more. Who is Wonder WIll?
Will decides to rent a movie with Robin at the Family Video store when he meets the most beautiful boy he's ever seen. He becomes fascinated with Mike, wanting to learn all about his dreams and desires.
Through secret messages in the songs Will plays on the radio and movies Mike suggests, their love story begins to unfold.

Summary
Will Byers, small and gaunt and barely twelve, was found dead on a cold November night, police sirens screaming, tires crunching on gravel, gruff voices breaking down the situation at hand.
The body was stone-cold and lifeless — he’d been dead for more than a day. That was what the reports implied, anyway.
The Wheeler family wouldn't have learned about it through any official means; they weren't family to the boy, so there was no reason for them to be informed beforehand about Will’s unfortunate fate.
Mike Wheeler found out about it at school.
Will Byers goes missing November 6th, 1983. He's found dead in the water of the quarry a handful of days later — that's what everyone keeps telling him. But they don't see what Mike does. They don't know that for Mike, it's almost like Will never really disappeared at all. He's hiding from something — but Will has never hidden from Mike.
