    Daryl escaped the Sanctuary, but the Sanctuary didn’t leave him. Rick’s people are biding their time, preparing for war; Daryl is battling his demons and trying to come to grips with the fact that he can’t do it alone. Rick is walking a tightrope between Negan, Michonne, Daryl, and his own feelings.

    And why won’t Rick tell Daryl why Michonne and Rick as a couple is a thing of the past?
    What the hell happened while he was caged in the Sanctuary?
    And what the fuck are they gonna do with Negan?

    Time: Canon plotline more or less followed up to 7.08. Canon timeline, however, is blithely ignored: Daryl’s captivity lasted much longer in this fic.

    Being divorced doesn't mean you get the deposit back on your condo. After separating from his wife, Rick Grimes drives down to the gulf alone and falls for the easy, laid back vacation he'd meant to take with his family. So much in fact, he decides to make it a new tradition for himself.

    Unfortunately, Gulf Shores isn't that big of a town and crossing paths with a person who wronged you in the past could look like a simple coincidence. But when it keeps happening, is it less like a coincidence and more like fate?

    Daryl's a member of a motorcycle club, Rick's the Sheriff who keeps pulling him over for speeding and breaking every road law in the book, but he has to admit, this stupid idiot is awfully pretty.
    Here's hoping Daryl doesn't crash.

    By the time the pizza was gone, he was ready to fall asleep on the couch. He left the dirty plate on the coffee table, too tired to care, and shuffled across the room to the light switch. Just as his fingers flipped the switch, that tiny moment before the room was suddenly dark, something caught his eye.

    There, across the room, in the shadowy corner by the window, something moved. It was faint - barely more than a shimmer - but the outline was very human-like.

    Daryl’s heart leapt into his throat, and he hit the switch again, flooding the room with light... Nothing.

    Daryl lives a solitary life and he couldn't be happier about that. But one day, he finds himself not living alone, not anymore. How will he deal with the constant presence of a ghostly figure?
