“Look,” Jesse finally says, and the argument comes to a screeching halt as they suddenly remember they’re not alone. “We don’t need to fight back. Lie low for a few months, then we can get back to business.”

Eyeing Ashe spread out on the bed, Cole never did think he’d see the inside of this house again. It started with a discussion: where’s the grossest place we could fuck? They’ve fucked in some out-there places—on her bike, in the barn, under the perpetually flickering fluorescent light in the bathroom at Cutthroat Trouts, in one of the diner booths, in the truck, pulled over on the side of the road. Her parent's bedroom was meant to be a joke but she took it and ran with it. Literally. She grabbed his hand, revealed that her parents are out of town, told the rest of the clubhouse they were headed out to scope a potential hit site and left in the middle of the goddamn day for some afternoon fun.
She said that she wanted a way to get back at her parents for the years of shit they put her through. To do something that wouldn’t put a target on her back.
Something innocuous yet filthy.
And it doesn’t get any more fucking filthy than this.

Ashe vowed to put a bullet in Cassidy’s head if she ever saw him again after the bullshit he pulled on Route 66; a mere pittance for taking her bike and vengeance for what he did to Bob, Bars, and her reputation.
Yet, here she is, inside Overwatch's walls, offering her services like she’s a damn merc for hire.
Cole knows, just like the first hints of Petrichor carrying on the breeze, that a storm is coming. He didn't exactly leave Ashe in the best of positions on Route 66. And Bob… Well, Cole definitely could have been kinder to him. He's lucky that Bob is a gentle giant and didn't snap him in two the second they were in the same room together.
