    Hubert and Ferdinand marry before the battle against those who slither in the dark begins in earnest. Between war and their roles in government, they have little opportunity to interact as a couple. The lack of intimacy in their marriage leaves them isolated from one another. Despite that, they remain devoted to their relationship .

    All the while, battles rage on. During this time, the Imperial base is ransacked. Among the items stolen is a tailored coat that belongs to Ferdinand. He becomes distraught over its disappearance and obsesses over locating it. Hubert fails to understand this, but remains supportive. He comes to realize there is much about his husband he doesn't know. In this quest to find out more (and the coat), they venture farther than they ever expected.

    Goro looks from the thermometer to Ren, then back to the thermometer.

    “It says 39°C,” he announces.

    “No way…” Ren groans into a pillow. He’s still laying in bed, half turned on his stomach with the sheet tangled around his legs.

    Goro grabs his phone from its charging spot on the nightstand and starts typing a quick email.

    “What are you doing…” Ren mumbles. Goro looks up to see his husband peeking at him through a small opening between the pillow and his wild curls.

    “...Notifying my colleagues that I will be working from home today,” Goro answers, his eyes flicking back to his phone screen before his heart rate gets too affected by Ren’s cute antics. He sends the message and sets the phone back on the nightstand.
