Summary
When Prince Stede Bonnet saw his betrothed for the first time, he very nearly blushed.
Edward Teach was a fearsome thing: pirate turned warlord, scourge of the continent. He wore black armor and bristled with weapons, including his famous sword, the Queen’s Revenge. The notorious beard which had earned him his nickname was gray now, but still full and menacing. They were almost of a height, but Stede felt dreadfully small in his presence.
Blackbeard had taken one look at Stede and grunted his approval. And Stede had almost blushed.

Stede sighs. "Chauncey wants us to do a job for him. To pay off Nigel's fines. I'll tell you what it is, but you have to promise not to think I'm making it up."
"Oh, god." Ed says, pressing his face into the back of the couch. "What is it?"
"Basically, um, he wants us to steal a Fabergé egg for him."
"Fuck off." Ed's voice is muffled by the couch. He slowly lifts his head. "He's Ocean's Twelving us?"

Summary
It’s strange and awkward, the three of them navigating the same space like this. Stede can’t help thinking glumly to himself on more than one occasion over the next several days that everything is much easier when sex is involved, even though the sex is, in fact, more than tricky enough on its own. Being near Izzy in public feels like walking a tightrope, dizzying and dangerous and like one faltering step will be Stede’s downfall. He keeps thinking about what Izzy said, and he says to Ed one night almost a week out from Izzy’s whipping:
“He really loves you, doesn’t he?”
“Whaaaat,” Ed says, nestled up against Stede’s side before the crackling fire on a thick, fur rug they’ve only recently acquired. “That’s not what the next part says, is it?”

Summary
After over a decade of marriage to a woman he couldn't possibly feel attracted to, Stede has finally realized - with the help of an endlessly patient and enthusiastic Edward Teach - that sex can actually be enjoyable. But spending so long drowning in compulsory heterosexuality has left wounds all over Stede's heart that he hadn't even realized were there. Luckily, Ed is happy to help him stitch up every last one.
Basically a sickeningly emotional fic where Stede and Ed explore each other and their sexual relationship and navigate the choppy waters of trauma with the healing power of gay love.
Technically a sequel to "Different, With You" but can be read on its own.

Summary
Ah, he doesn’t want to do this. But he needs to say something, because if he doesn’t, Stede is bound to feel some sort of way about being left to discover Izzy’s disappearance all on his own. And so he settles himself onto the bed with a groan, his knee choosing that particular moment to begin to rebel—“Is that you, Ed, darling?”
“Yeah…” He breathes. Fuck, he’s pretty sure that Izzy has never made this much noise when sitting or laying down. He’d sooner die.
“Is everything alright?” Stede emerges from the bathroom enveloped in a cloud of floral-scented steam. All it takes is one quick look at Ed’s face to know that everything is not, in fact, alright. Getting right down to it, he asks, “…Is this about Israel?”
“Yeah…” Ed is reluctant to offer anything more by way of explanation, especially when Stede’s expression shifts to one of outright concern. “He, uh… He’s missing. Took off in the middle of the night, nobody’s quite sure when.” The look on Stede’s face might be comical, under other circumstances. Right now, it just twists Ed’s stomach up into all sorts of ugly little knots.
