Summary
Izuku has admired Katsuki since they were little kids, even during their middle school years. He can’t begin to explain when his feelings for him developed, but it feels like they've always kind of been there, just like how Katsuki has always been there in his life. So when the one constant in Izuku's life is ripped away from him, he can't help but be reminded of him in a different way.

He would rather fight off explosives than have the inevitably awkward conversation to follow with Melissa, so he continues speaking, “So there is this event happening this weekend, and I heard you were already going, so I was just wondering if you’d like to come with me as my hero partner.”
He gulps, “And, maybe, just maybe, only if needed, and is absolutely necessary, pretend to be my boyfriend.” His voice grows smaller and smaller with every word, the last one barely audible, and he averts his gaze to fixate on his red shoes instead of the blond’s fiery eyes.
