Summary
“I guess I can only hope to find something that good,” Buck remember’s saying. Thomas’ response haunts him to this day. “You don’t find it, son. You make it.”
“You make it,” he whispers to himself, and he looks around at the Diaz family’s living room, Christopher’s lego set halfway finished on the floor. It was a gift from Buck. He spoils him rotten, he knows, but he loves the kid too much to stop. Maybe he’s just scared to lose Chris again, scared he’ll leave LA again. He knows he won’t, but, for very valid reasons, Buck is never not scared of his loved ones fleeing the state.
