Can we have an AU of an AU? Basically this is an alternate universe of the alternate universe I've been living in in my longform fic.
No vampires, no AA meetings, no pregnancy, no clairtangency. Paul Hill is genuinely a fortysomething priest who's been assigned to Crockett Island following the death of John Pruitt. Kate Owens is a mid-thirtysomething from Texas who has inherited a cabin on the spur of the west side, and is taking a few weeks in early summer to recover from a rough winter. Erin and Riley are together, Riley isn't quite so emotionally constipated.
