He kept closing the gap you tried to make as he resumed sucking on the purple and blue popsicle. Your back met the counter and you found yourself pinned between it and Bob with his offending ice pop. “Now what?” he licked his lips and grinned before holding the gummy popsicle in front of your face.
You looked at the treat for a moment before glancing up at Bob. Your gaze flitted back and forth between him and the pop for another moment, a look of curiosity growing on your face. Bob's amusement turned into confusion as he watched your expression change.
“What?” he asked, brow furrowing.
“Can I… do an experiment?”
“What kind of experiment?”
“See if my friend's comparison for what this feels like is correct?”
“What did she compare it to?”
“I'm worried that if I ask you first the idea will, uh, skew the results. But I can't just… not ask you, you know?”
“I have no idea what you're talking about.”
“Oh, never mind,” you shook your head, suddenly feeling that your little idea was too silly.
“No, no, I need to know what this experiment is. You’ve got me curious, you can’t just take it back.”

You blink at him, eyes flicking between his face and the pancakes. Then a smile spreads across your face. Cute, and he makes pancakes? You’d struck gold.
“Thanks… man!” you say, then pause, realisation dawning mid-sentence. You don’t even know the name of the very attractive guy standing in front of you. You laugh a little, embarrassed. “What’s your name?”
“Bob.”
“Bob,” You repeat, the smile on your face growing just that little bit more if that was even possible, “I like Bob.”
