Summary
It was supposed to be casual. Just blowing off steam, nothing more. Remus set the rules, Sirius agreed to them, and for a while it worked—nights of heat and silence, no promises made. But Sirius Black has never been good at keeping his heart out of things. Somewhere between Remus’s hands on his skin and the quiet after, Sirius fell—hard, fast, and without a way back. The problem? Remus never wanted more. At least, that’s what Sirius tells himself every time he tries to swallow the ache of wanting someone who doesn’t want him the same way.

Summary
“Can’t sleep?”
Sirius’s throat tightened. He didn’t trust his voice, so he just nodded, the movement barely more than a dip of his head. Remus blinked blearily up at him, his dark eyes catching just a sliver of light.
He didn’t ask why.
He never did.
Instead, without another word, he shifted. Scooted back. Pulled the blanket away on one side, making space the way he always did when Sirius needed it, needed him.

“Yes,” he answered, his voice low but steady. “Her name was Bella.”
