A face's fuzzy features appeared in her stinging vision. Harry blinked the pain away with a harsh squeeze, gasping around a wince. Her fingers were wet, her body too alive. This wasn't death; this was something far worse.
Then the voice spoke again, pushy; insistent. It reminded her of someone - who did that tone remind her of? "My name's Peggy Carter, I want to help you. Do you know where you are?"

There's something to be said about the nature of divination, a finnicky thing. Harry's not quite sure how she's ended up where she is, but she's half-certain it has something to do with Hermione's compulsive meddling ... and there's something strangely foreboding about her dreams, and their heroine. She really, really hopes it has nothing to do with another prophecy.

And a child’s soft question.
“It was there even in the cupboard? Even when they hurt me?”
The answer, grave as the grave itself.
“Yes. You were not alone. The soul shard was with you in silence.”
The shade shrieked, clutching its form with invisible claws.
“WHO—WHO SPEAKS IN MY MIND? Silence! Mine! Mine! You belong to me!”
But the voices ignored him.
“Then I don’t want to cast it away,” said the child. “If it was with me, then I wasn’t alone. I don’t want to be alone ever again.”
A silence, heavy as eternity. Then laughter—not cruel, but amused.
“You could take it into yourself. Consume it. Make it part of you forever.”
“Yes. I want that.”
Something inside the shade broke. And then - something inside him mended.
