Summary
The image came back in fragments. Safi’s body- her own body, breaking the ice. The sound, the surface, the way it broke at once. The way Max didn’t hesitate to reach for something that wasn’t there and somehow grabbed her anyway.
The ice whole again. Unbroken. Everything was so fucked up.
This takes place in the Double Exposure time frame; between the end of chapter 3: “Spin”, and the beginning of chapter 4, “Diptych”. I felt like there was an interesting part skipped over, so I decided to write out what I think could have happened.
