John and Dave reunite after the three year trip travelling to the post-scratch session separately—but in this alternate, probably still doomed timeline, they can actually celebrate with a nice laid-back get-together on the trolls’ meteor… But after the party’s over and it’s time to get some rest before (hopefully) finally winning the accursed fucking game, the two can’t help but jump at the chance to simultaneously rekindle their friendship further, with a good old-fashioned sleepover in Dave’s personal bedroom.
