You know,” James says quietly, holding back his laugh when he realized how Martin is doing anything but looking James in the eye. “I’ve been wondering something.”
“What?” The word comes out, obvious worry in his voice. James leans forward, almost leaning right in martins face, and at this point Martin had no other choice but to look, just to make it less awkward. “Sometimes I catch you looking at me when you think I don't notice.”

Summary
It’s like a thousand pound weight is bearing down on his shoulders when Martin stands up, knees wobbling and hands shaking and his head feels fuzzy. The water bottle in his grasp clatters to the floor. It’s hard to see straight as he makes a beeline for the door, stumbling out of it without a word and he thinks he hears someone calling after him, but the ringing in his ears is deafening and he needs to get out of there, away from the cameras and away from the staff and he needs to breathe.
