But he's not a complete asshole, so he dips his head, slowly; with unmistakable intent. "Knee me in the balls right now if you want nothin' to change," he whispers. Close enough to feel the silent catch of Izuku's breath. "I'm so serious, Deku, I swear if you let me do this because you'd feel bad sayin' no—"
"I wouldn't feel bad," Izuku butts in. A shaky hand shyly buries itself in Katsuki's hair. "At least, not because of that. But because I—this could be… would it really be okay for me to ask that of you…?"
"Is it okay for the world to ask of your life?" Katsuki counters.
Or: After years on the run to stop the League from catching Izuku, he and Katsuki finally decide there's only one thing they need to be running from. Hint: it's not their feelings.

"L-Lucif—?"
"Eugh," the now-demon spits, a twist to his face. "Don't call me that. Any name given to me by that spineless fuck you call—what, Adam?—is no name of mine."
"B…But you—" Izuku's protest stops short as an upturned palm settles in front of his face. Weary eyes tremble as they continue to take in the hulking form of who should be the last person Izuku wishes to see.
Yet…
Izuku returns the gesture, shocked when their hands meet, because Lucifer's hand doesn't scorch his flesh upon touch. It's callous, surprisingly well-worked. Not too different from his own.
And at that, Izuku's face falls.
"He's likely spewed a lot of shit about me," Lucifer adds rather glaringly. "Self-absorbed prick, a stealer of wives," he scoffs. The man—the demon—the King?—then glances off to the side, a crease forming between his brows.
"Jealousy," he tacks on quietly, "can be nearly as sinful as whatever else they have in that little golden rule book in that big, empty white room."

Summary
All Izuku can do is stay on his knees like a statue. His hands fly back like they've been zapped by a high voltage current, fingers twitching, while the horror of the situation starts to dawn on him. Because of his carelessness, a man is going to die.
The guilt a most potent poison storming into his veins. He's so absorbed in the very real crime he's technically just committed—not to mention how he's supposed to turn himself in—that he misses the click-clack of shoes on cement approaching him.
A tongue clicks in annoyance above him. Flinching reflexively, he hunches in on himself, like coming off smaller might reward him with more grace and understanding to the situation he's found himself in. What he hears next has his head jolting upwards in pure, baffling bewilderment.
"Hey, shithead," a gruff, cocky voice growls out, "looks like you just killed my date."
Or: A stroke of bad luck has Izuku crossing paths with Bakugou Katsuki, a son from powerful Yakuza family. Who, more unfortunately, just lost very important personnel for a very important operation. Acting put to the test, Izuku has to show Katsuki that he can hop, too, if it forgives, and Katsuki forgets.

Summary
It's awkward. Their scents are mixing. Izuku can feel the sweat begin to bead at the back of his neck. Their chemistry is tested, the way their bodies react and instincts engage.
It's not about sex. In fact, you're not permitted to have penetrating sex at all. The intimacy that is expected is what keeps them silent. They are free from wandering eyes, gossiping mouths, and nosy ears. They, for once, are Izuku and Katsuki.
That's the problem, Izuku thinks idly, watching as Katsuki sits, respectfully; painfully so, like a statue. Not so much as a wiggled finger or a tensed muscle.
Like he's waiting.
And it hits Izuku then, that he is. Waiting. Leaving the pace up to Izuku alone.
"This is…" His voice shakes, nervous and unsure. "This is the first time we've really been alone, together. If you think about it. Where we can just be… us, I guess. No one around to judge."
"Us?"
"Yeah. Not… two betrothed or an Alpha and Omega. Izuku and Kacchan only."
Or: Arranged to wed to bridge the gap between their tribes, Izuku and Katsuki attempt to dismantle years of biased teachings for not just themselves, but the future of their people, too. And, maybe, grow to love along the way.

Katsuki raises an eyebrow. The foot tap. The pout.

He scrubs a hand down his face.
No. Not cute.
No no no no no.
You’re detaching, he reminds himself, mentally slapping his own forehead. You are emotionally detaching like a well adjusted adult who absolutely did not give the guy you’ve been in love with for years an insane gift at a Christmas party to force a reaction.

Katsuki’s not in love. He’s handling it. He’s fine. So fine, in fact, that he gives his definitely-taken childhood best friend a gift he probably shouldn’t have.
