The Yōkai weren't the ones to discover Mizuki was a double agent. The Hashimoto were-- and they did not permit traitors. After nearly dying to save the Yōkai he'd grown so attached to, Mizuki can only hope to find a place in the newly reborn Overwatch.

Post Recall, post fall of Gibraltar, Mizuyang/Seaturtle with some background Spuriken and whoever else I get convinced to ship6/14/26 edit: I have apparently been graced with prophetic abilities in regards to Overwatch so I have minor changes to add Shion into the mix. This was written before Facing Demons and Shions release but... damn I was close!

Summary
What mattered was Noob lying face-down in the grass, body jerking weakly, blood soaking into the dirt beneath him. His chest was torn open—007n7 couldn't bare to look at any longer than necessary, and every breath came out as a wet, choking rasp. He tried to speak, failed, and could do nothing but swallow blood instead. Something massive was lodged in his chest.
“𝙃𝙞𝙘— A— eugh—” Noob sobbed, choking between broken breaths. “E… Lliot…?”
It looked surprised.
“Woah! You already know about me!?” it laughed, genuinely pleased. “I’m so flattered.” A giggle bubbled out of it as it leaned closer. “Didn’t think I was famous enough for even the newest survivors to recognize me.”
It beamed.
“I feel like a 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮!”
007n7 stared.
