Summary
Mu Qing turns to leave but Feng Xin catches him by the wrist. When Mu Qing turns to wrench his hand away, he trips, stumbling forward, a hand flies to his stomach as if protecting it as he almost falls. He catches himself before he actually falls, however, his robes part slightly to expose a small swell in his stomach. It’s not big by any means but it’s noticeable if you’re looking. It’s definitely not his usual flat, skinny waistline. Feng Xin’s eyes widen. He can barely believe what he’s seeing.
Mu Qing whispers “shit” and tightens his robes to cover the bump. Panicked, he quickly turns and hurries away leaving his vegetables sitting on the stand next to Feng Xin.
