Summary

Solving a case, chasing down a murderer, unraveling a mystery is usually no problem for a genius like him- too bad the son of his host, Akira Suou, is a mystery he cannot solve.

Summary
Surviving the twisted game and living a ‘normal’ life wasn’t in Akechi’s original plan, but it's where he finds himself after the Phantom Thieves have saved the world. He’s run away from Tokyo, his crimes and his past and is content to live the rest of his life in a small town. A town that should be unremarkable, if not for Ren Amamiya, the young man working at the florist shop. A near perfect, golden-eyed doppelganger, of the one person Akechi wants to forget the most.
He should stay away, he certainly shouldn’t become his friend, and he absolutely shouldn’t start a loving relationship with him that makes his new life feel perfect… At least if would be if the actual Akira Kurusu hadn’t shown up on his doorstep. Demanding he leave town with him. Now Akira won’t go away, and Ren is acting strange, the town is crawling with Shadows…
And Akechi is starting to realize he never made it out of the game to being with.

Kurusu leans forward and says, “Look. You do deserve to feel this bad. I’m sorry, but you do. But you don’t deserve to be alone while you deal with it. So I’ll leave now if you want me to, but I’m coming back tomorrow. All right?” Goro wipes his face with his sleeve and glowers at him: Great Akira the Moralizer, who knows exactly what everyone else deserves. Perfect, beloved Akira.
After Akira's interrogation, the Phantom Thieves try to change Akechi’s heart—but it takes more than that to get the bastard prince of Tokyo on your side.

Summary
Spotting a small neon “Open” sign flickering quietly in the window of a store just a little further down the sidewalk, Goro breathed a quick sigh of relief and jogged the rest of the way to the door. Swinging it open frantically, he propelled his body through the door as fast as he could before shutting it against the howling wind and rain once more.
Taking a second to catch his breath, he slowly turned around to take in his surroundings before his eyes locked onto another pair. A guy around his age was manning the register at the front of the store and watching him with raised eyebrows and a tiny smile. A beat passed as Goro stared back, still catching his breath.
“…Welcome,” the guy said.
“Uh,” Goro started intelligently, dripping wet in the doorway. “Hi. Thanks.”
(the record store AU nobody asked for but I'm sure as hell going to deliver anyway)
