Summary
He pulls Miles closer, rolling the word husband in his mind. It doesn't light something possessive in his chest like he thought it would, nor make him flinch. The word doesn't feel new either; there's no need to make space for it in his head— he realizes the idea's been living there a while now.
Marriage. He's been afraid to think about it if anything.
Phoenix and Miles contemplate their relationship, with Miles having a harder time asking for what he really wants.

Summary
Trucy sniffs the air, as she squeezes herself besides Miles on the couch, "see, that's how I knew you were here. Smelled way too good for it to be Daddy's cooking."
"Wuzzat..?" Wright grunts, roused from sleep, squirming himself upright. Miles' executive functions shut down as Wright's lips unintentionally brush against his pulse point. He hopes the dim lighting hides the blush creeping up his neck as the man sits up, smacking his lips together, "oh, hey Truce."
After falling asleep on his shoulder, Phoenix accidentally kisses Miles, sending them both into a spiral.

Summary
"No, I-" Miles blanches, caught off guard, "I don't know. Wooing feels like a waste of valuable time. Shouldn't the parties involved just... know?"
Klavier and Apollo are stunned, the latter momentarily forgetting his embarrassment. They stare-slack jawed at Miles.
"Forgive me, but know what?" Klavier asks tentatively.
Miles sighs, exasperated, his reserves of patience dwindling fast, "when the time is right, two people will simply know they are in a relationship, naturally."
Miles worries he and Phoenix may not be on the same page about their relationship.

Summary
Phoenix's attention is drawn to the kitchen counter, at the bags Miles had deposited there earlier, "What are those for, by the way? Are they not Trucy's?"
Miles hauls himself up, moving to stand beside the island counter, "I told you, there's someone else I like to spoil."
Phoenix groans, "Miles, why?"
"Because I love you? Is that illegal?" the chief prosecutor snaps as angrily as a man proclaiming his love can, "It's nothing too extravagant, I know what you're like."
Miles loves nothing more than spoiling his daughter and boyfriend, much to the latter's chagrin.

Summary
Chief Prosecutor and Formerly disgraced Defense Attorney, star crossed lovers? the title reads in bold, abrasive letters. Phoenix, slightly offended by the description of himself, fixes his companion with a wary look.
"Has Miles Edgeworth's cold heart been thawed by his old rival - turned lover - Phoenix Wright- " The article is promptly ripped from his grip, a mortified expression plastered on said Chief Prosecutors face, "Hey it was just getting good!" Phoenix protests.
Edgeworth stumbles across a tabloid article speculating on his relationship with a certain defense attorney

Summary
“Alright,” Eddie shrugs, laissez-faire. He pulls Buck’s plate to the center of the table; pushes his own forward in kind. Then he begins a drawn-out circus routine of plucking an olive at a time up and out of the bowl and plopping them onto their respective dishes, one by one.
The delicate, repetitive movement of Eddie’s pinched fingers reminds Buck of picking the petals off of flowers. He loves me. He loves me not. He love—
An olive hits him square in the forehead.
“There,” Eddie says, resolute, as the pitted projectile tumbles to the ground at Buck’s feet. “Equal treatment.”
Or: Buck, Eddie, and the olive theory. Well, in theory.

Summary
He didn't know anything, if he were to be honest, except for the nagging feeling in his throat and the urge to barf, like when they'd won a big case and had decided to celebrate by eating an insane amount of chocolate cake—he didn't remember the last time he had felt this weird after coming to. Was that concerning? Not enough to go to the hospital, in his eyes—probably low blood pressure—or high blood pressure? His body had been sending him mixed signals; either way, as long as he wasn't gushing blood like a garden hose any longer he reckoned he was in perfect health.
Phoenix faints. Miles helps.

“Federal court?” Phoenix said, blankly, for the third time, and this time, Edgeworth, sounding distinctly less sympathetic, said, “Surely you’ve heard of it.”

Summary
Miles clenched his fists at his sides. “Stop!” He could feel his heart hammering wildly in his ears. “Where are you going?!”
Phoenix didn’t break his stride. “Anywhere you aren’t.”
Over tea, old wounds reopen and unspoken feelings finally boil over—some things, once steeped long enough, can no longer be ignored.
