Summary
“You’ve met her parents,” Harry mumbles quietly, it comes out as a statement rather than a question.
“Yeah, well I’ve got to meet the parents of the girl I’m marrying, Haz.”
Harry can scarcely breathe. His legs began to give out for a second there. What the actual fuck. He can barely wrap his head around the fact that Louis’ met some girl’s parents and now he thinks it’s okay to casually slip it in that he’s getting married. Getting fucking married.
Or My Best Friend's Wedding AU where Harry Styles, a 25-year-old New York restaurant critic, receives a call from his best friend Louis. In college, the two made a deal that if neither of them was married by the time they turned 25, they would marry each other. Three weeks after his 25th birthday, Louis tells him he's getting married.
Harry has one week to sabotage the wedding with a little help from Zayn.

Niall's breath hitches, his blue irises stark in the light of the hallway.
He swallows, “It’s Zayn Malik.”
Harry exhales a sigh of relief, “Yeah, so?” He really thought Niall had something much more serious to say than the lad’s name. It’s good that he recognizes the guy.
“What do you mean, ’yeah, so?’ It’s Zayn Malik. We shouldn’t- Harry, we shouldn’t be caught with him,” Niall tells him.
“Don’t be insane, we helped him. What’s the worst that could happen?”
Or a Harry Potter AU of Zayn, the arrogant, perceived bad boy of Slytherin who finds his world clashing with Gryffindor Harry Styles.

Summary
No one will ever understand, so Zayn doesn't ever tell anyone, hides in his flat with his books and his art, spills his soul in bright colours in the dark every night all over the infrastructure of the city, draws other people's faces over and over again. They all start to look the same after a while.
Zayn lost all his hope three years ago. Harry has too much of it.

He looked up subconsciously, and almost fell on his knees when he realised the thing he grabbed was a bunch of vines growing out of the canvas and sprawling through the entire wall outside the frame. When Harry loosed his hand, he could still smell the fragrance of fresh grass between his fingers. He turned around to look at Zayn out of startle. And Zayn was only picking a flower between the vines leisurely.
“It was very nice to meet you too, Harry.” He handed the flower to Harry with a gratified smirk.

Zayn nods and watches him, feeling like he should feel relieved. Mostly he’s worried. It’s a silly thought, but sometimes Zayn wonders if Harry has some boyfriend across town that he goes to see on nights like this, nights where the air feels different between them. And because even after six years, it’s never made sense to Zayn why Harry, a salesman, needs to spend so much time at the office at night. But who is he to have suspicions when he’s about to head out and deal with some drug trafficker across town?
