Hello! This is my first post, although I am a frequent visitor to this subreddit and have been for years. I have loved hockey all my life, but my real guilty pleasure is staying on top of all the behind the scenes gossip. As you can imagine, Scott Hunter kissing his boyfriend on the ice was a huge day for me!
I recently noticed something with Ilya Rozanov that I don’t think many other people have, and I decided to finally post about it here to see if anyone else shares my opinion. Every hockey fan I’ve talked to in my real life has brushed it off because Rozanov is known as such a womanizer, but I genuinely think he’s in some kind of serious long-term relationship.
Or the year before Ilya transfers to Ottawa, Shane and Ilya learn three things. Creating a charity is a fuck ton of work, coming out isn’t something you do just once, and the whole world seems to think Ilya Rozanov is in a committed relationship.Oh, and Ilya is addicted to Reddit hockey gossip.

Ilya’s eyes sparkled. ”Yes.”
”And you will behave, Rozanov.”
”I always behave, Hollander.” He shoved at Ilya’s shoulder at this. Ilya caught his wrist and held on. He was grinning. ”It’s going to be fine. No big deal, yes?”
No big deal. Right. ”Just to get Hayden to leave me alone,” Shane muttered. Ilya nodded but didn’t make a comment about Hayden this time, which Shane appreciated, actually. And then he said, ”Fine, you’ll win your stupid bet,” and twisted his wrist out of Ilya’s grip. ”Let’s try.”

Summary

Summary
After Shane's plan to come out to Ilya in Tampa falls through, the pair have a falling out. There is no cottage. Instead, Ilya is forced to wait and see Shane at a charity event being held in New York. Ilya hopes that, after a miserable summer apart, he and Shane can reconcile.
There's just one problem.
Jordan Bragg, a forward for the New York Admirals, has also come out as gay. Stunningly handsome, funny, and just what a heartbroken Hollander needs, Jordan makes it clear that Ilya Rozanov isn't the only one after the Metro's star centre.

Summary
Ilya Rozanov has been drafted by Boston, the number one pick overall, but his father doesn't want him moving to America and so takes steps to block his visa. He's going to have to go back to Russia and stay there forever and that, thinks Shane Hollander, is wrong.
It's so wrong that Shane can't stop himself from doing something about it. Even though that something is the most reckless, the only reckless thing he's ever done in his life. He marries Rozanov in secret, to keep him out of Russia and put him on a path to Canadian citizenship.
Shane's got a five-year plan to get him there and when you have a plan nothing can go wrong. Right? Right. When you have a solid plan and a marriage that's on paper only there's no risk of feelings getting involved. Not on Rozanov's part and certainly not on Shane's.
Right???
