Summary
In all his human years, Alec never experienced the feeling of truly being happy, everyone around him resented him as a person, they were disgusted, scared, and guarded with him. Even as an immortal, some are still staying away from him, but one person showed him what it is like to be alive, to be happy, and to appreciate life, she made him experience the things that never crossed his mind; even when she herself find it hard to enjoy life. And that's what pains him, knowing that it would be better for her to stay human, to live the rest of her life without being tied to him, and to never burden herself with the responsibility of being a Volturi.
