Summary
Cas is sick and Dean finds a journal that Cas kept about his time alone as a human.
This fic is a retelling of first half of S9 from Cas's POV (via Cas's journal). Lots of Cas angst/loneliness and a correspondingly equal volume of Dean guilt. Sick fic, hurt/comfort, journal fic, and a Christmas fic too.
NO SLASH but the entire thing features a strong Cas/Dean friendship.
Destiel readers: This entire fic can be read as pre-Destiel (or not, as you prefer), and if you would like to read it that way, I also wrote an optional, explicit, Destiel epilogue chapter just for you guys. :)

Summary
When Castiel moves back to his birth place in the twin towns (Angel Falls and Freeville) he ends up joining Angel Falls hockey team "The Angels HC" and immediately establish himself as their star player. His team captain Lucifer harbor a strange obsession with a player from their rival hockey team "Team Free Will" which leads to Castiel meeting Sam and Dean Winchester.
For Sam and Castiel it's instant bromance much to Dean's chagrin. Despite them being on opposing teams Dean is drawn to Castiel and the better he gets to know the Angel the more chaotic and explosive the chemistry between them gets. Because Cas is not the person he seems to be and Dean has some dark secrets of his own...

Summary
Sam and Jess are getting married and Dean couldn’t be any happier for them. Honestly, they’re kind of disgustingly perfect for each other and Dean’s pretty damn excited about staying with them the week before the wedding. He’s Sam’s best man, of course, and he doesn’t even mind that Jess has her own best man to share in all the organisational duties. The more the merrier, right?
Except Dean must have done something to epically piss off the universe because Jess’s best man just happens to be Castiel friggin’ Novak. He’s got even hotter since High School, but apparently no friendlier and if Cas wants to spend the week pretending like they’ve never met before? Fine. Two can play at that game.
