"... It's complicated." It’s not like he could say yeah, we used to be childhood friends, made music together and all that and maybe fell in love in between until I got scouted and he ended up going to business school in Kremnos and we lost contact. Then again we never did quite break up… or even were officially together for that fact…
Not that any of that matters now anyways.
Their reunion had been something out of the script, a b-side of sorts to the song of their lives, and not at all one Phainon detested but would cherish forever. Something probably never to happen again.
Or so he had thought.
