Summary
Luka looks at him then, really looks at him.
His shoulders are high and tight, all of his weight is shifted onto the balls of his feet, and his eyes are flickering between Luka’s face and the space around and behind him. He thinks of the memory the tadpole had shown him, so soaked in fear it had left him feeling off-kilter for long minutes.
Astarion isn’t a monster. He’s just a person in a silly ruffled shirt, and he’s terrified.
